Personal and family repatriation program

Overview

This program is an individual or family service that facilitates personal and professional reintegration and return to productivity upon return to the home location of an employee. During the session, expatriates and their families will debrief their recent assignment at a high level, and explore the challenges they will face when returning to what was once their home.

Learning objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Understand reverse culture shock
  • Identify lifestyle and cultural changes that have occurred while abroad
  • Establish long-term, and short-term goals to work toward upon reintegration
  • Develop strategies for minimizing impact and re-adjustment into the social system, family, and the domestic workforce
