The impact of constant exposure to traumatic events and stressful situations will build up over time, affecting our overall health and wellness. This workshop aims to support employees who are exposed to traumatic events and/or stress on a daily basis. Once we understand how we are impacted, we can take steps to better manage these effects. This workshop provides you with information on how exposure to cumulative stress has affected you. You will learn how you can manage the stress through support measures that you can put in place to help you cope and build resiliency.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to do:
- Gain a deeper understanding of cumulative stress with respect to ‘high exposure’ teams
- Recognize the impacts of cumulative stress
- Apply effective short-term and long-term strategies to manage cumulative stress
